Topics
Many topics can be addressed with hypnosis. My main areas are behavior change, triggers and releasing blockages.
Other topics we can work on together:
Beliefs
Burnout
Confidence
Death/grief
Fears
Inner critic
Nightmares
Pains
Perfectionism
Physical complaints
Pregnancy and Birth
Self-love
Sleep disorders
Smoking cessation
Weight loss
If your topic does not fall into the above categories, please contact me anyway. It is entirely possible that we can work together on your topic.
Quick clarification
Your topic must be “your” topic. I can only support you in changing your own behavior, not someone else's behavior. E.g. I always feel small, helpless, and horrible when my boss yells at me. We can work on your feelings, but not on your boss's behavior. He is responsible for this himself.
FAQ
What does a typical session look like?
A typical session begins with a preliminary discussion. In this, we talk about your topic and clarify the exact mandate. It may be that we do ‘preliminary exercises’ that facilitate the entry into hypnosis or are needed in a later part of hypnosis.
Then I will support you in entering a trance and discuss your issue further. We will look at where the problem is coming from and use techniques to dissolve blockages and unwanted connections. Examples of this are inner child or belief system work.
Can anyone be hypnotized?
In principle, anyone can be put into a trance. The only requirement is that you can focus. Some people find it easier to engage in hypnosis than others. The state of trance is natural for human beings and familiar from everyday situations: i.e., just before falling asleep, while waiting for the bus, or waiting for the traffic lights to turn green.
What does hypnosis feel like? Am I asleep, am I being manipulated?
The depth of the trance into which I will guide you feels completely relaxed for your body: similar to meditation, relaxation exercises, or the second before you fall asleep. Your mind is clear and alert. You will be in a conversation with me that is hardly any different from a conversation outside a trance.
What if I don't wake up from the trance?
That won't happen. In a trance, our brain works on a different wave frequency than in a ‘normal state’. But it won't get ‘stuck’ there. Your brain will return to its normal frequency when you end the hypnosis. If, for example, the internet connection fails during an online consultation, you will eventually wonder why it has become so quiet, open your eyes and thereby your brain will return to its normal frequency.
